Assistant Inspector

Assistant Inspectors work alongside and directly support the work of inspectors.

They provide support to inspectors, assisting in all tasks from planning and assembling the inspection team through to report publishing. This includes inspection scheduling, data and evidence gathering and analysis, and also project managing and quality assuring reports to explain our findings.

Inspection Manager

Inspection managers manage teams and lead teams of people onsite during inspections.

They manage the delivery of inspection programmes and make sure inspectors have the appropriate support to undertake their role.

Working arrangements and induction training

Inspection staff work from home.The regions covered by our inspection teams are large; travel and occasional overnight stays will be required.

All new inspection staff must undergo a comprehensive induction programme.
