Brief description

The Shrubbery is registered to provide personal care to a maximum of 26 older people some of whom may have mental health or physical disability needs. The home is situated in Codsall overlooking farmland. The property is three storeys and the accommodation is located on all floors, there is a passenger shaft lift to access upper floors.

Communal areas lounges, dining room and conservatory are on the ground floor and offer a comfortable and homely environment these areas are also used for activities. Bathrooms and toilets are appropriately sited and have assisted facilities, a number of bedrooms have an ensuite facility. Public transport passes the home and there is a railway station at Codsall that links into the West Midlands.

There is ample car parking for staff and visitors at the front of the property. Daily activities are offered usually in an afternoon and those people who wish to take part do so.
A number of general practitioners visit the home along with district nurses and other members of the primary health care team.

Community involvement is encouraged and various groups visit the home. Outings are organised for individuals who wish to go out. The aims of the home are to provide a home for life where individual needs can be met by the service.
