Brief description

The Addiction Recovery Centre (ARC), offers a community based detoxification and rehabilitation service for people with subtance misuse problems, who are living in supported accommodation. They provide assistance with the administration of detoxification medication and inidividual and groupwork support for those clients who are undergoing detoxification or rehabilitation due to substance misuse.
 
The project does not provide any other form of personal care or domiciliary support other than the community based detox / rehab. As a result there was no direct personal care being provided to people using the service, and as a result registration under the terms of the Care Standards Act 2000 and associated regulations may not be required, as the provision is not residential.
 
The office is in Southsea and the property also accommodates the treatment room and counselling / therapy rooms, breakout room and kitchen facilities.

The centre is accessible up stairs and there are several sets of stairs within the property. Consequently there is poor access for people who may be wheelchair dependent.
