Brief description
The home can provide personal care for 50 older people. This includes a separate area on the first floor that can care for people who have dementia. The home cannot provide nursing care.
Hillside Grange is a two storey converted building in the Sunderland Road area of Felling in Gateshead.
Churches, shops and other facilities are within easy reach of the home, although there are some fairly steep hills to negotiate, however, it is easy to get to by bus or car.
The home has extensive lawned areas to the front and an enclosed patio area to the rear, which is used by service users. The main entrance at the front of the home has a number of steps but the entrance to the rear of the building has a ramped access.
There is a lift to take people to and from the first floor.
All of the necessary facilities are provided including an emergency call system and the bathrooms and toilets are suitable for the people who live there.
