Brief description

Carefirst 24 is a combined Domiciliary Care Agency and Nurses Agency; this report is based upon an inspection of the Domiciliary Care Agency in March 2007. The Nurses Agency was also inspected in March and a separate report is available from the CSCI for that part of the service. The Domiciliary Care Agency recruits, trains and manages a number of care workers who are then deployed in the private homes of service users.

It is a relatively new and expanding business and has the very laudable aim, set out in their Statement of Purpose, 'to provide reliable, efficient and quality care services in a professional and personal manner'. The Director of the company is an experienced person from the health and care sectors and take a `hands on' approach in the leadership and management of this Agency.
