Brief description

Portland House Domiciliary Care Agency provides care and support to people living within Housing with Care Schemes. Debra Hughes is the Care and Support Manager employed by MHA Care Group (the Registered Provider) and is registered as the manager of the service with the Care Quality Commission.
 
Currently the service consists of Portland House (a supported living project that provides accommodation, support and care for up to eight elderly people living with mild to moderate dementia) and Heald Farm Court (a housing with care scheme that provides accommodation, support and care to older people with different individual needs, living within 86 double apartments and three purpose built bungalows). The properties at Heald Farm Court are available for rent, shared ownership or full purchase and the flats at Portland House are for rental only.
 
Each scheme has a different registered landlord.

The landlord for the Portland House Scheme is Villages Housing Association and Helena Partnerships is the landlord for the Heald Farm Court Scheme.
 
MHA care group is the Registered Provider responsible for the day-to-day care and support to the people using the service.
 
The tenants have access to care and support staff throughout the day and night. Staffing levels through the day and night vary at each scheme dependent upon the needs and number of people using the service.
 
The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has an out of hours on call system.

Tunstall assisted technology is also utilised subject to need.
 
Fees charged are from £18.67 (Support Costs Heald Farm Court) and £260.99 (Support Costs Portland House). Care costs are means tested by the local authority and these may vary dependent upon individual income and the level of care required for Heald Farm Court.
