Brief description
Information taken from the Statement of Purpose Reading Crossroads is an independent incorporated charity whose geographic area of service provision is Reading Borough Council and surrounding areas serviced by the Reading Primary Care Trust. Reading Crossroads is a member branch scheme of the Association of Crossroads Schemes. As a member of the Association Reading Crossroads works within a national framework of policies and procedures and an internal quality assurance programme.
Reading Crossroads is committed to providing practical support in the home in order to enable carers to have a break from their caring responsibilities. In providing this service to carers, Reading Crossroads may provide a personal care service to people with care needs service users and will ensure that the provision of such personal care is user led. Charges current at the time of this inspection ranged between GBP13.85 and GBP18.72 per hour, depending on times of day etc, and between GBP88.57 and GBP129.31 for a ten hour overnight duty, depending on whether it's a waking or sleeping duty.
