Brief description

A1 Nursing and Homecare Agency is privately owned by Mrs Helen McSorley and Mr John McSorley.
 
The Blackburn branch is located in a residential area about 2 miles from Blackburn town centre. There is a train station near by and the office is on a bus route.

The agency provides registered nurses to cover temporary staffing deficits in nursing homes and hospitals.

At the time of the inspection the agency provided nurses to work in service users homes.

The day- to- day management of the Agency is undertaken by the Registered Manager.

Information about the Agency is given to prospective service users in the form of a brochure. A separate price list and details of the registered persons and the manager are also given. The fees charged by the Agency are from £11-48 to £25-95 per hour, depending on the day and shift worked.
