Brief description
Consultus Care and Nursing Agency is set up to specifically provide live-in carers to enable people to stay in their own homes for as long as possible. The agency specialises in providing care for older people, and for people who are recuperating after illnesses or operations. The range of services includes companionship, light housework and shopping; and may extend to providing full personal care.
The agency introduces live-in carers to clients, usually staying for two weeks at a time. The carers are self-employed, and the clients hire them, and are responsible for paying them. The agency has clients, and can provide staff, throughout the United Kingdom.
The office premises are situated in Tonbridge, close to the town centre. Modern communications systems are used for all aspects of running the agency, and managing the accounting.
The agency charges a flat rate fee of £86.60 per week for introducing carers to clients. The agency then recommends a rate of pay that the client should pay the carer.
