Brief description

High Meadow Homecare Limited is now providing a new service called Assistance Direct. This agency specialises in live in, sleepovers, waking nights, escorted social events and even overnight trips. Services are available all day and every day.

The live in service will provide the service user with a carer to live in their home for up to seven days per week and provide support 24 hours a day. The agency will provide an escort for social outings and overnight trips, or even holidays. The extended care could be anything from two hours up to ten hours during the day, offering the opportunity for family carers or relatives to have a rest.

Carers can be provided for sleepovers and waking nights and the agency can be contacted from 06.30 until 22.30 hours, seven days a week, including bank holidays. The office is situated in the centre of town. The service is part of the High Meadow group and they share the premises with another branch of the company.

The offices for these services are situated on the first floor. The company's head office is in Sturry near Canterbury. The agency provides care to older people, people with physical disabilites, sensory loss, people with learning disabilities, personal or family carers, children and children and families.

The agency has both self-funding, private service users and direct payment service users as well as local and health authority funded clients. The fee range for personal care is quoted in the service user guide. Up to date fee information may be obtained from the service.
