Brief description
Abacus Care (Birmingham and South Midlands) is a well-established business having been operating a Nurse Agency since 1997. The agency is also registered with CQC for Domiciliary care. Abacus Care (Birmingham and South Midlands) is an independent franchise of Abacus Care (Homecare and Nursing Services) Ltd.
The Service providers are Mr and Mrs Rickwood. Both Mr and Mrs Rickwood work at the agency on a daily basis and have established management systems to assist in the organisation of the business.
Abacus is registered as a large agency; this is based on the number of staff employed in the offices.
Abacus employs a registered nurse who is responsible for staff recruitment, training, support and assessing suitable nurses for placements.
Abacus Care covers a large geographical area including Birmingham, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. The agency provides registered nurses, healthcare assistants and support workers to cover temporary gaps in staffing. They provide cover for nursing and care homes, hospitals, supported accommodation, day centres, schools, industry, GP practices and prisons.
