Brief description
Benedicts Nursing Home provides 20 places for highly dependent people with learning disabilities, who require nursing care.
The home is operated by St. Anne's Community Services.
The staff team includes learning disability and general nurses, supported by care staff, catering, housekeeping and administrative staff.
The building is a large, detached house situated in a secluded residential area and within a short walk of all the facilities of Wetherby town centre. The house stands in private well-stocked gardens with ramped access for wheelchair users.
Accommodation for people is in twelve single and four double bedrooms, with a variety of spacious communal sitting rooms or activity areas.
Many of the people living at the home have complex nursing needs and all the private rooms are equipped with ceiling tracking for use with hoists, to enable the safe moving and handling of people without needing wheeled hoists.
