2008/2009 national priorities: mental health trusts

The indicators that we will use to assess the performance of mental health trusts against the national priorities (including applicable existing commitments) are available by clicking on the link below. Each indicator includes details of why it is included (the 'rationale'), the data source, and the period of time assessed by the indicator (the 'data period').

Best practice in mental health services for people with a learning disability (Green light toolkit)
Care Programme approach (CPA) 7 day follow up
Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS)
Completeness of the Mental Health Minimum Data Set (MHMDS)
Data quality on ethnic group
Delayed transfers of care
Experience of patients
NHS staff satisfaction
Numbers of drug misusers in effective treatment
Patterns of care from Mental Health Minimum Data Set (MHMDS)

Hybrid trusts

Hybrid trusts are healthcare organisations that provide more than one type of function, for example, primary care trusts that provide inpatient mental health services, and primary care trusts that provide both learning disability and inpatient mental health services. They should refer to the lists of indicators for all relevant types of trust. Their assessment will be based on the applicable indicators for each function they deliver.
