During this consultation, we asked for your feedback on our plans to regulate, inspect and rate health and social care services around the country. The plans we outlined had been built based on the feedback from the consultation below.

This consultation asked for feedback on our plans to launch a single fee scheme for all care providers (including those that will be new to registration).
We consulted on these plans between late 2010 and early 2011.

We joined together with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) to create guidance for inspectors and assessors.
The guidance was created with the help of our Voices for Equality and Human Rights group, and helped to ensure robust scrutiny of human rights issues within our essential standards of quality and care.
This consultation closed on 12 November 2010.
This consultation detailed the changes we proposed to our enforcement policy regarding warning notice arrangements and possible regulatory responses. Our basic approach and principles remained unchanged from our original policy.
The consultation closed on 1 September 2010.
This consultation looked at the proposed fees scheme for independent health care and adult social care providers registered under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 from 1 October 2010.
The consultation also set out the arrangements from 1 April to 30 September 2010 for:
- continuing charges for registrations.
- variations and annual fees under the existing schemes.
This consultation closed on 16 June 2010.
This consultation detailed how we proposed to assess the quality of:
- councils and primary care trusts (PCTs) as commissioners.
- NHS trusts and PCTs as care providers.
- adult social care organisations as care providers.
It also outlined our plans for how we would report our findings and the special reviews we proposed to carry out in 2010/11 and beyond.
The consultation closed on 27 April 2010.
This consultation set out how we proposed to integrate equalities and human rights in what we do. We asked for feedback specifically on:
