Deirdre KellyProfessor Deirdre Kelly

Professor Kelly is Professor of Paediatric Hepatology, Birmingham Children's hospital and a former Trust Medical Director. She is Chair of the National Advisory Committee for enquiries into Child Health and is a member of Topic Selection Committee, NICE , & Advisory Committee on the Safety of Blood, Tissues and Organs. Professor Kelly is also President, Chair or Past President of various national and international medical organisations. She is a member of national patient organisations and was a commissioner of the Healthcare Commission.

Jo Williams Jo Williams

Jo Williams is the former Chief Executive, Royal Mencap Society. She is also the former president of the Association of Directors of Social Services and champion for social care services throughout a career in local government. She is also Co-chair of the Learning Disability Coalition and a member of bodies advising government on the third sector, carers, learning disabilities and children's services.

Olu Olasode Olu Olasode

Olu Olasode was a Commissioner for the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and chaired the CSCI Audit and Risk Committee. He is a board member of Capacitybuilders. He has been appointed as Chair of the Care Quality Commission's Audit and Risk Committee. Olu is a public service productivity and strategic finance consultant, and chief executive of TL First Consulting.Olu has served as a non-executive director of Bromley Primary Care Trust, as a governor of Oxleas Mental Health Foundation Trust and as executive director and board member of Mildmay Hospital UK. He was previously interim chief executive of Penrose Housing and Mental Health for two years. He also chaired the General Performance Panel of the Department for Communities and Local Government's Beacon Council Panel.

Kay SheldonKay Sheldon

Kay Sheldon has been a Mental Health Act Commissioner since 1998 and a member of the Mental Health Act Commission Board since 2004. She brings personal experience as a user of mental health services to the CQC and she has also been involved with a variety of user-led initiatives. Kay is currently a trustee of Mind, the national mental health charity.

Martin Marshall is Director of Clinical Quality at The Health Foundation and has an international reputation for his work on quality of care. He has been a practicing GP for 20 years. From 2006 to 2007 Martin was Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Director General for Quality and Safety at the Department of Health. He also advised the Commission for Health Improvement on the development of clinical governance reviews and the Healthcare Commission on star rating schemes.
