Involving people who use services

We believe that involving the people who use care services will help to improve services for everyone. There are many different ways we are involving people.

  • How we involve people

Find out how people who use health and social care services are involved in our work.

  • Mental Health Act visits

Our Mental Health Act Commissioners visit people detained under the Mental Health Act. Some visits are carried out with a user of mental health services. These are known as Acting Together visits.

  • Patient surveys

We co-ordinate surveys to collect feedback on the experiences of people using a range of health care services provided by the NHS.

  • Social care inspections

People who use social care services are fully involved in our inspections. Many of our social care and council inspections we don't do on our own. We take an Expert by experience with us.

  • Shaping CQC

We work with mixed specialist groups of people who help shape our work by giving us their views and feedback.
