CQC Activity at the conference

The Care Quality Commission will take part in a number of activities at the NHS confederation conference:

10:15 - 11:15 meet some of CQC's Executive Team on our exhibition stand A26. A light breakfast will be available on stand.
11:15 - 12:30 Cynthia Bower, Chief Executive speaks at a session 'Understanding the regulatory landscape.' This session aims to support members to make sense of this new regulatory system.
16:30 - 17:30 Dr Linda Hutchinson, Director of Registration speaks at a session 'Quality and the community provider' delivered by Primary Trust Network. Community providers have to prepare for the introduction of a range of new quality measures - CQUIN, the quality framework and Care Quality Commission registration. This session will explore how to meet the challenges that this will pose to service providers (and their commissioners).

11:30 - 12:15 Barbara Young, Chairman speaks at a session 'Just how tough is it going to get?' to discuss the main risks and challenges that local leaders will have to contend with over the next 2-3 years.
